AgroCarbone Methodologies

The quantification of genuine natural carbon sinks

The AgroCarbone standard issues carbon credits validated by precise scientific calculations combined with in-depth field analyses

Each project is unique
and validated by a certified assessment that complies with the ISO 14064 standard

The AgroCarbone standard is under continuous development to provide calculation methodologies for all crops and/or plantations, thereby enabling the utilisation of genuine natural carbon sinks (Carbon Removal) and the issuance of high-quality carbon credits

List of AgroCarbone Methodologies

This methodology aims to quantify the carbon sequestration generated by Phyllostachys edulis (Moso bamboo) plantations in accordance with a defined agricultural framework (the AgroCarbone cultivation protocol), with a view to generating verifiable and traceable carbon credits on the voluntary market

The method includes a calculation protocol based on measurements of above-ground and below-ground biomass alongside a rigorous audit system conducted with regular intervals

Certification

All methodologies developed and created by AgroCarbone comply with the ISO 14064 standard and have been validated by Bureau Veritas Certification

AgroCarbone therefore offers carbon credits that are unique on the carbon market, thanks in particular to its high level of scientific rigour and its expertise in field engineering

All AgroCarbone methods guarantee rigorous quantification of sequestered carbon, full traceability of stored carbon and comprehensive management of reversibility risks through post-harvest monitoring

AgroCarbone Registry

The AgroCarbon registry is a registry created specifically for carbon credits issued under the AgroCarbon standard

All projects validated and certified under the AgroCarbone standard are listed in this registry, enabling carbon credits to be tracked throughout the lifetime of the planting project

The use of blockchain technology enables the recording of all transactions associated with a carbon credit, from its creation to its use, making the credit immutable and preventing any double counting or falsification of sales transactions

AgroCarbone is one of the most secure carbon registries on the market, enabling real-time traceability of carbon credits
